One great part about living in LA is that there are so many dog-friendly places to visit. While most dog-friendly restaurants offer a water bowl or just outdoor seating, we found five places in LA that will treat your dog just as they would any customer with many places offering secret doggy menus! I took Daisy, a 1-year-old Maltese mix, to try what each of the restaurants had to offer her on their doggy menus.

1. Muddy Paw Coffee Company

3320 Sunset Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90026

Muddy Paw is a little cafe located in the heart of Silver Lake. The whole cafe was built around being dog-friendly complete with dog-named coffee drinks and products as well as a beautiful patio where you and your pup can lounge in the shade. They offer an array of dog cookies and cakes for your pup that you can purchase and some small free dog treats as well. The patio also has multiple dog leash hookups and a complimentary water and food station for the dogs. They also donate a portion of their proceeds to different animals rescues in the area!

2. Shake Shack

Multiple Locations

Shake Shack offers your four-legged a friend a Pooch-ini. It is dog-friendly vanilla custard with peanut butter sauce and two hamburger dog biscuits. A warning on this one, there is a lot of ice cream and is more for larger dogs! Daisy took a few licks of it and had had enough. Her favorite part was the peanut butter sauce! If you don’t want all of the ice cream, Shake Shack also offers a “Bag of Bones” which is 5 of their Shack Burger dog biscuits.

3. Sprinkles Cupcakes

Multiple Locations

Sprinkles is famous for their cupcakes, and that includes their “Pupcakes”! It is a sugar-free cupcake made from flour, vanilla, and honey, topped with a yogurt frosting that is safe for dogs. This was by far Daisy’s favorite and the best part is that it is just the right size for small dogs to enjoy! The Pupcake is offered at all of their locations and you can also get it at the Sprinkles ATM after hours!

4. Starbucks

Multiple Locations

While you pick up your morning coffee, you can also grab a treat for your dog! Starbucks offers a small cup of whipped cream, appropriately named a “Puppuccino”. Daisy loved this little treat, but make sure you watch how much whipped cream your dog consumes. The smaller dogs should only have a little bit so that they do not get an upset stomach!

5. The Waffle

6255 Sunset Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90028
Just a few blocks from the famous Hollywood Boulevard, The Waffle offers dozens of amazing choices of waffles dishes. They have a spacious outdoor patio for you to bring your dog and will serve them a fresh bowl of water and “Woofles”. The Woofle is a dog-friendly waffle made out of oatmeal, bananas and peanut butter. The order comes with three Woofles and they even serve it in a nice to-go box so that your dog can eat one in the moment and save the other 2 for later!

6.) Ray’s at LACMA

dog-friendly brunch spots

The best place to enjoy the beautiful weather of Los Angeles and it’s fine art offerings with your dog is definitely Ray’s at LACMA! Our “official” food critic, Ginger, enjoyed a delightful spread of their doggy brunch menu.

Go out and have fun exploring LA’s secret doggy menus with your four-legged friends!
