Everyone’s name is inspired by someone or something. After operating a dog care company for almost a decade, we have heard all sorts of names. One big trend we’ve noticed: Fitdogs named after celebrities. Naturally, we wanted to see what these pups look like next to their celebrity counterparts.

Over the years, we’ve met many dogs named after celebrities, from Bette Davis to Charlie Murphy to Bruce Lee and more in between. Check out some of our Fitdogs named after celebrities and see if you can spot a resemblance!

Bill Murray

Perhaps the most striking resemblance of all our Fitdogs named after celebrities is Bill Murray. This German Wirehaired Pointer is a regular daycare and sports member, and despite his serious looks, loves to have a good time. We feel both Bills have a way of turning on their comedic charm to win over hearts. And just look at that smolder! I mean, has anyone ever seen both Bill Murrays in the same room?

Dolly Parton

Much like her namesake, Dolly is a true queen and matriarch of Fitdog. Dolly the Doberman is a long-time friend of Fitdog and enjoys her staycations with us. Dolly encourages us to get to livin’ and always speaks her mind. We think if these two Dollys were to meet, they would be instant friends.

Bowie

Bowie the beagle, much like his namesake David Bowie, loves to sing. He has often incited choruses on the play yard that gets all the dogs singing along with him. Also much like David Bowie, Bowie the beagle loves to dress up and always brings his A-Game to Howl-o-ween. We think David Bowie would be proud to know Bowie is carrying on his legacy through vocal performance and awesome costuming.

Stevie Nicks

Just like the white-winged dove, Stevie the Labrador is all about expressing her divine feminine on and off the yard. From hiking to playing on the yard, Stevie is quickly discovering her favorite things. Notably, her older brother Mac is named after Fleetwood Mac as well. Stevie and Mac have big Labrador energy and make loving fun. We personally think Stevie and Stevie would hit it off if they ever met.

Harrison Ford

What do these two Harrison Ford’s have in common? Brawn, brains, and buck. This Rhodesian Ridgeback is all about having fun on the yard. Whether co-piloting the Millenium Falcon or on an adventure through ancient temples, we know these two Harrisons would make an excellent duo.
